My testimony about how I met and became friends with my sister/ friend Yvelle Lisa. I met Yvelle in May of 2021 at a Healing In My Heels Women’s Conference hosted by a cousin of mine. We were both on the program to speak. She was the presenter before me. I remember it like it was yesterday. Yvelle definitely had a swag for her deliverance to her message. She had captioned the audience with her charm and her words. Her words were not just words, but a reflection of her journey, her experiences, and her perspective on her life. Yvelle’s words have a unique power to touch the soul, and her story resonated with women from all walks of life. As a matter of fact, Yvelle’s testimony was a transparent peek into her life that she opened up to share with some women who might have been hurting and going through some things. The name of the conference was called “Healing In My Heels” for a few reasons. It gave Yvelle a chance to rock a pair of “Red Bottom Heels!” that you noticed as she glided across the floor with her inspirational charm and message. After our presentations, I went to introduce myself to her. The first thing I said to her was what church do you pastor? She was so humble, and she simply said no I’m not a pastor. I am a woman of God and she smiled, and we began to talk and laugh and shared some of our life experiences. I had discovered that she knew of me through my sister-in-law, whom she went to school with, and my brothers from the neighborhood we grew up in. It is a true saying that “It’s a small world” and that is how we met and became fast friends! I call her my sister/friend because she is someone I can call on for advice, prayer, and a word of encouragement when I need one. Finally, I want to say a public “THANK YOU” to you Yvelle! Last month on October 21st I hosted a Pink Ribbon Gala in honor of Breast Cancer Survivors. Yvelle was gracious enough to be my Mistress of Ceremony for the evening. There is no question that she did a wonderful job! Thank you again! I wish you all the best in this season of your life and journey! God Bless you!

About 7 years ago I was given the opportunity to vend at an event that occurred in different venues once every couple of months.  An opportunity of a lifetime.  It was at that event when I realized that there were other avenues for me.  The guest speaker at the event was Coach Yvell’e Lisa.  I was impressed at her ability to capture the attention of everyone in the room.  Her presentation answered so many questions and also left many that needed to be answered.  I was a retired, frustrated, and hurt person who kept moving forward.  Only to realize I was going around in circles.  Yvell’e Lisa reached out after a short conversation at the event where she began to coach me on how to move forward.  How to find my purpose!
